Spring Valley Wetlands Creation Project

• Conceptual overall site planning.
• Over 700 LF realigned creek / waterway.
• Created 0.8 acres new wetland adjacent to an existing U.S. Corp of Engineers regulated wetland.
• Designs included novel ‘coconut log’ bank protection at bends.
• A variety of wetland planting species such as ‘Streamco’ willow, buttonwood, red-osier dogwood, and grey dogwood, stream-side shrub plantings to create shaded areas intended to provide food and shelter of species amphibians, invertebrates, and fish.
• Included water plantain, mannagrass varieties, soft rush, sedges, asters, bulrush, goldenrod and more.
