• Curb breaks allow sheet drainage flow over lawn and gravel filters.
• Filtration consists of a sand and gravel layering system with underdrains to carry stormwater to the street system.
• Plantings consist of a variety of wet-tolerant, low maintenance, and aesthetically pleasing species including grasses and perennials.
• Photos show the bioretention area immediately after planting. Grasses and perennials not readily visible in the photo will achieve a full height of 2 to 3 ft. within one year.
