MLA designed a creative mix of standard concrete, tinted concrete, and stamped concrete sidewalks to create spaces, define pedestrian and vehicular routes, an entrance plaza, concession stand plaza, and the main pedestrian area.
- Berms, seat-wall islands, and landscaping screen views of neighboring bus depot and provide spatial definition for the forecourt and gateway
plaza areas. - The main entrance to the school was redesigned presenting an area for flag display for student pick up.
- Elements added to the enclosed courtyard include an amphitheater for up to 60 students, an outdoor, landscaped seating area adjacent to the cafeteria, and shade trees to screen bright sunlight from windows with views out into the courtyard.
